INSTRUCTIONS
Module Information Booklet
We had to come up with a theme and I chose to have my project mixed with the horror genre as I wanted to try something new. Below is the proposal for this project and some sketches I made to portray my idea. Below are the instructions for this project.
You will synthesize the knowledge gained in tasks 1 and 2 for application in task 3. Students are to demonstrate the technical capability to analyze, composite, and communicate set extension over raw footage or recreate it by scratch and add motion. You will dissect and deconstruct raw footage to understand the nature and concept of the footage environment requirements for extension. With the understanding gained, you are to synthesize the knowledge to produce believable and compelling footage that syncs naturally as required. You will start with sketching and move on to digitization and then generate using the appropriate software. Upon completion of the set extension, you will construct a poster of equivalent to promote your creation. You will conclude by selecting and presenting your creation in the instructedformat/s:
- Compiled technical doc .pdf (*mood board, style guide, sketches, technical processes as posted in their e-portfolio).
- Final output to ready for the final project.
- Online posts in your E-portfolio as your reflective studies

I was told that the idea was there, however, I still to refine it better and try photo bashing.

At this point I was very overwhelmed with all the other modules, thus I decided to just start all over and came up with a better and more polished set extension. Below is the compilation of my final 3 set extension.

FEEDBACK
Week 7
- Needs to be more solid, for an idea it's good
- The perspective is still off
- Need to use a base that is an existing place/location
- Do photo bashing.
Week 9
- 1st Image - like the idea of a creature creeping out of the sky, however the portals and stairs' scale needs to be adjusted
- 2nd Image - try another idea rather than hands coming out from the ground. If it is supposed to be a place of giants find references to a giant tomb.
Week 12
- There is too much going on, there are things that are not necessary so for now try to focus on just one set extension before moving further and gather more references.
Week 13 - 14
- Now it is much better, however, the greens are too washed so it is better for you to increase the saturation and play with the vibrance
- Add the rim lights to where the light hits with a soft brush
- To make it more interesting you can add make the mountain as if there were people living in there
- Darken certain areas and adjust the lighting.
REFLECTION
The end of the semester has always been tough for me, especially for this project where I was totally stuck and lost. I am glad that in the end, I could create something that I am satisfied with, and thus I could proceed with the final project, which requires animation.
