You will synthesize the knowledge gained in task 1 and demonstrate the ability to explore and generate 6 sets of matte painted concepts based on chosen location via google maps capture or any high res photos. You are to analyze and implement painting techniques for aperiodic change of time with a theme to create a photo-realistic shot. You will start with color bashing and blocking to identify elements used in consideration of perspective, value, color palette, composition fundamentals, etc to obtain believability and realism. Finally, you will conclude by selecting and presenting their output interpretation in the instructed format/s
  1. Blocking out 3 artwork based on the images selected without color picking from the chosen photo.
  2. To choose 1 final artwork that will be polished and final rendered.
  3.  Output render must be in 16:9 widescreen or portrait size 150 dpi minimum.
  4. To submit in .pdf compilation of all the all work and one high res image for 1 Final Render.
With the instructions given, I went surfing on Unsplash.com to find 3 landscape photos that will be my references for this project. Below are the photos that are chosen.

FEEDBACK

Week 7
  1. Almost there (Interior and Landscape 1)
  2. Interior - needs more depth, look at the value for the sofa, it needs to be darker than on the second sofa and lighter value for the 3rd sofa, the perspective on the windows needs to be fixed.
  3. Landscape 2 - The sky looks a bit greenish so adjust with Hue, the grass values, and the orange mountain's shape needs to be adjusted.
Week 8
  1. Interior - the values for the sofa still need to be fixed, pay attention to the colors and add ambiance.
  2. Landscape 1 - pay attention to the hills in front and behind it, there are also more details of the flowers. Add more texture and lastly, the hill n the very back has more of greenish blueish color.

REFLECTION

We were not allowed to color pick during painting, which makes the process a lot harder for me as I was very used to color picking. However, I am glad that with this I could observe colors better and could improve.
